Testosterone replacement facts as reported by men (and women) who are actually on this hormone do not, in my experience, match up with the claims being made to promote it.

Testosterone replacement; a healthy lifestyle should make it unnecessary

Remember, when you first start a testosterone replacement protocol, you are adding to however much T that your body is already making and utilizing. The only time you may benefit from the natural supply produced by your body AND the added prescription of Androgel, Testim, T- cyprionate or other product is when you first start taking the hormone.

Once that phase is over, your body's own production will begin to shut down. This is because the pituitary gland perceives there is sufficient supply and no longer produces LH - luteinizing hormone - and FSH - follicle stimulating hormone - to stimulate production of the hormone in the testes and adrenals.

Shutdown of the body's natural T production cycle is an exceedingly common result of testosterone replacement.

This may take several months, more or less. Once that happens, your body may never again have the ability to produce Testosterone - you are now totally dependent on a prescription!

The majority of my male coaching clients who have done T therapy with the actual hormone - even bioidentical - reported Testosterone replacement facts very different than those who promote it. They have told me they are disappointed - and worse. I have listened as they expressed dismay over now having testicles the size of raisins (yes, they literally said that), no increase in sexual prowess or desire, and after the initial 'honeymoon phase' ( a month or so), no benefit to muscle mass, energy level, strength or endurance.

Women, also, have told me similar tales of woe.

How can this be? You may not know this, but a major Testosterone replacement fact is that this hormone is VERY subject to being converted to estrogens! It is not uncommon for men suffering from increased feminization as they get older, to worsen when T is supplemented!

Under the wrong conditions - high stress, high carbs, not enough weight training and various states of toxicity, infections, and more, Testosterone replacement can INCREASE estrogen (in both men and women) - exactly what you don't want!

Commonly a drug called Arimidex is prescribed to head off conversion of Testosterone to Estrogen. But every prescription drug has potential side effects, and Arimidex is no exception.

How does out-of-control cholesterol and throbbing joint pain sound for starters? Then there's high blood pressure, high blood sugar, depression and emotional volatility. Tingling and numbness in arms and legs, lack of energy, sleeplessnes and 'trigger finger' (chronically bent, spastic finger joints) have also been reported. Not good!

The good news is that Chrysin has been shown to prevent conversion - minus the side effects. So for those who are already on T therapy, it would be prudent to try Chrysin before resorting to a drug.
