Here is my list of the protocol measures I followed, upon which I elaborate below:
1) Sea salt tooth pain remedy
2) Delicious bone broth daily
4) Eggs from organic, pasture-raised chickens
5) Grass-fed beef and lamb
6) Gentle tooth brushing with small amount of sea salt; later also added baking soda. NOTE: for people with very sensitive teeth, only use very small amount sea salt; too much can temporarily aggravate sensitivity
Due to my study of Dr. Weston Price's work, I am convinced that the body can heal teeth when given the right conditions, so I took a leap of faith.
I ordered a one-of-a-kind Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil made the old-fashioned way. This product, unlike any other, contains all the compounds Dr. Price found effective in natural dental healing, intact and unspoiled by commonly used manufacturing methods of other brands.
Sea Salt Tooth Pain Remedy: This tooth pain remedy worked very well for me. As I said in part one of this story, I found sea salt very effective in tooth pain management. Not only did I have tooth pain, but also throbbing pain in the trigeminal nerve of the lower jaw which radiated all the way into the hinge of the mandible (lower jawbone). The gum and bone tissues were also tender. I could not chew on that side. If I happened to chew on something, even very lightly, with those teeth, there would be a shot of pain in the nerve and it would throb for 10 - 15 minutes before the pain subsided. (I am chewing almost normally with those same teeth right now (not quite, as healing takes time) - but I am getting ahead of my story - thought I would tantalize you just a bit :-)
It was very simple; just place 1/8 teaspoon or so of salt in the mouth and allow it to naturally dissolve and mix with saliva - directing it to the area of the painful tooth. I then would hold this solution in my mouth for 5 - 10 minutes.
I took a small bottle of salt with me when I went out on errands as well as putting some salt in my mouth when I went to sleep at night.
**NOTE: For very sensitive teeth, another way is to melt 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt in warm water and gently swish a portion of it around the mouth, then hold in mouth for 5 - 10 minutes and repeat as necessary.**

Benefits of Cod Liver Oil: My protocol: I started gradually with 1/2 teaspoon daily. Every 2 days, I added another 1/2 teaspoon until I was taking around a tablespoon (sometimes a little more) per day with meals.
Within days the toothache pain markedly reduced, which was very encouraging. I also noticed my dream quality was better - more colorful, uplifting dreams - a sign that the benefits of the cod liver oil supplement extended to my central nervous system.
Gradual improvement included strengthening of my tooth structure as evidenced by the disappearance of some mild tooth sensitivity.
Eggs from organic, pasture-raised chickens: Eggs from hens raised outdoors on pasture, especially the yolks, are very rich in omega-3 essential fatty acids, naturally-occurring Vitamin D, B-Vitamin compounds, essential phospholipids, choline, inositol and more.
I enjoy raw egg yolks in salad dressings, or simply spread over some grassfed steak tartare (raw ground beef).
If you prefer to cook the eggs, sunny side up is a great way to have some of the yolk almost raw.
Grass fed beef and lamb: Higher than commercial meats in so many beneficial compounds and free of hormones, insecticides, antibiotics and bacterial infections common in feedlot meat. Pasture raised beef and lamb are higher in: CLA (conjugated linoleum acid, Omega-3's and Vitamin E.
Beef bone marrow fat is a highly valued ancient traditional food. While it has not been studied very much as to nutritional content, I am convinced it is an excellent source of many of the same compounds grass fed meat is famous for.
- In addition to the above, organic greens, carrots and onions, some excellent coconut oil and olive oil, plus organic currants and sesame seeds as garnish, are the mainstays of my diet which complement the benefits of cod liver oil for natural dental healing.
