Candida yeast and heavy metals; is there a connection? How do I get rid of fungal infection and food allergies related to mercury toxicity or burden of other toxic elements?
How well do EDTA chelation suppositories work?
Are these questions on YOUR mind?

Brendan from Australia asks this question about candida yeast and heavy metals:
"I noticed in your story about your experience with EDTA chelation suppositories that you mentioned after having been given DMPS you came down with candida yeast infection and massive food allergies. From your knowledge is candida related to heavy metal burden. I have had candida and food allergies for years and have tried everything and I am only just starting to read some material that suggests heavy metals are involved. How long did it take you to get rid of your candida once you started using EDTA chelation suppositories?
Thanks so much for your help"
Reply: "Hi Brendan,
Happy to answer your question; it's a good one. (This ended up being a long-winded answer as my own experience getting rid of candida infection involved more than just the EDTA chelation suppositories). However, you made the right choice since healing can't happen until the toxic metal burden is addressed.
Were you given DMPS IV's also? Curious...
There is a direct relationship between candida yeast and heavy metals. Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, world mercury detox expert, says that candida yeast serves the purpose of absorbing and sequestering heavy metals - that yeast overgrowth is one of the body's defenses to try and keep mercury and other heavy metals from damaging body tissues.
Because mercury will kill us really fast, but yeast does damage much more slowly; the body proliferates yeast to save us from the mercury.
Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez (NY city cancer doctor who uses natural methods quite successfully), says (I'm paraphrasing here), 'We think of cancer as the enemy, however cancer is the body's effort to isolate toxins. We live in a 'toxic soup' and the body is overwhelmed, so cancer is one of the results.'
To get more to your question:
Candida yeast and other fungal infections are seemingly intractable, at least in my experience. They CAN be gotten rid of, however it takes knowledge, determination, and persistence!
EDTA chelation suppositories were a HUGE help because they immediately started reducing the burden of toxic mercury in my body. As I describe here, I felt much better really fast.
I don't know your situation, but if you have a heavy burden of metal toxicity, it can take some time to truly recover on a consistent level the vibrance and vitality you likely seek. My personal experience of doing my own mercury detoxification is that it can be a gradual improvement with an ebb and flow to it. Feeling much better then some symptoms reappear; adjusting protocol and moving forward again. This is because the body in its wisdom would not release the mercury all at once - that can kill!

Besides the healthy lifestyle things of eating well, exercise, getting proper rest - Medicardium EDTA chelation suppositories were the first thing I did that dramatically turned the tide. The yeast symptoms diminished significantly but didn't just disappear. In fact every time my body seemed to allow more mercury to surface out of whatever storage sites it had been in, the yeast would act up a bit.
I added colon cleanses using a colema board; this really helped. My body was 'thrilled' to have a faster exit for the toxins and demanded the colon cleansing daily during one periodDoing one's own colonics is a LOT cheaper. Also it is very important to take an excellent vitamin/mineral supplement when doing any colon cleansing.
**NOTE: Colonic irrigation is too formidable a process for some people, so in that case the Xeneplex and Glytamins suppositories can get the liver/gallbladder cleansed and intestines moving.
The colon cleansing added to the heavy metal cleansing further got my candida symptoms down. (with EDTA suppository chelation, mercury, etc. is eliminated through the colon, not the kidneys, sparing the delicate kidneys - so the colonics just get the toxins moving out faster with much less risk of reabsorbing them).
THEN, adding coffee enema was the crowning touch - after awhile, I was able to enjoy raw cows' milk and cream, nuts, even chocolate! Here is one of my pages that tells about how coffee enemas helped (new window) including getting rid of my terrible intolerance to carbs).
To take coffee enema to the next level, here is a recipe for coffee enema 'on steroids:' (new window).
Probiotics play a VERY important role in all this; you have to balance metal detox with yeast detox. If you just detox metals, any excess yeast will be left with nothing to do - and they then go after YOU!
The presence of candida yeast and heavy metals are likely to result in food allergies.
So, Brendan, that's the long answer as to what was helpful for me. Clients report similar findings in their own experience.
The short answer is that EDTA suppositories contributed greatly to significant relief of ALL my symptoms, including the terrible food allergies! The long answer is - to defeat these conditions definitively, a long-term, multifaceted approach consistently applied is needed.
**As well, flexibility and sensitivity to body's response - to make little adjustments in protocol so it feels just right to the body - is needed.**
The chelation is the right choice to get the mercury and other heavy metals out and improve circulatory capacity and health in general. Getting the metals out is major, and HAS to happen before real healing can take place.
So there is the in-depth answer; didn't know I was going to go on this long.
Likely this will end up on my site; haven't written on candida and other fungal infections and as with you, it is a major issue with many people! **(I will keep you anonymous unless given express permission to use your name!)**
Do let me know of how you progress with the EDTA chelation suppositories!
I wish you the very Best of Health!"
Brendan replies: "Dear Ellen,
Thankyou so much for your answer it is very helpful I have read little bit s here and there but i know feel confident that I can get rid of my yeast infection. I have not been given DMPS and to this date have only tried diet modification, supplements, herbs, 3lac, antifungals, probiotics, oxygen therapy and some others with no success. I have also tried other detoxs but never really focused on heavy metals. I hope by focusing on heavy metals i can rid myself of this problems that has been plaguing me for years.
Once again thankyou and ill keep you updated."

Reply: A few final words on protocol suggestions:
Good to hear you didn't have the DMPS!
Keep up all your good self-care protocols along with the Detoxamin. Some people are more sensitive than others and need to go slower - distressing detox symptoms can indicate a need to cut detox in half til they subside. Sounds like you are on the right track!
All the Best, Ellen
