The EDTA carrier base in the Medicardium is pure cocoa butter. This has some advantages: it is all-natural; because it melts faster the EDTA is absorbed more quickly - making Medicardium a preferable formula.

It is easy to use Medicardium during the day while lying down for 40 minutes or so. Also, when the inert ingredient (the carrier substance) is eliminated after absorption of the EDTA, there is less residue in the stool.
