1 - Lemon drink that balances your body pH and acts as a liver detox and kidney cleanse. (2 - 3 minutes)
2 - Full-body skin brushing; a luxuriant spa treatment that wakes and energizes you. (1 - 5 minutes)
3 - Enjoyable spine suppling exercise that will improve your flexibility and grace. (2 - 5 minutes)
It will take you longer to read this than to actually DO your morning whole body cleanse.

A refreshing lemon drink is very helpful for whole body cleanse protocols.
Fresh-squeezed lemon juice balances pH, helping to relieve excess acidity in the body.
Hyper-acidity is caused by stress, too much over-cooked protein (such as red meat and poultry), too many grain products (even including whole grains). Some of the biggest offenders are sugar, alcohol and too much coffee.
Symptoms of hyper-acidity include headache, irritability and anxiety.
Though lemon juice is acidic, once in the body it has an alkalinizing effect, as many raw fruits and vegetables tend to do. and helps relieve anxiety and irritability by flushing toxins from liver and kidneys.
Lemon drink helps you feel more alert and energized.
Quick and easy to prepare:
Slice 1/4 - 1/2 lemon into a few pieces, cut the pulp off the peel, mix pulp in blender with 4 - 8 oz spring water. Strain, or drink with pulp included.
- Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to taste. Cayenne pepper is rich in magnesium, and enhances circulation.
- Add stevia powdered extract (KAL brand is the best tasting) for sweetness. Depending on taste, between 1/16 and 1/8 tsp.
- Throw in a few sprigs of fresh cilantro herb. Cilantro is renowned for its ability to help detoxify the body of heavy metals, especially mercury.
You might enjoy adding all three of these ingredients to your morning lemon drink! Experiment to see which way you like it.
NOTE: Some lemons have a very thick rind. If you are ambitious and have some time, you can obtain extra nutrition... (Carefully) slice the white part of the rind off the yellow outer skin (as shown in the photo below).
Lemon rind is rich in bioflavinoids (Vitamin C complex), which helps to strengthen blood vessel walls and cell membranes.
You can eat as is, or chop, mix with a little olive oil and salt, and set aside to add to a salad.
**The thin outer yellow layer of the lemon tastes bitter due to high citrus oil content. BUT - spin it in the blender with some water and spray it on your dog's coat (keep away from eyes). It makes a nice flea repellent!

I first learned of the detoxification benefits of skin brushing many years ago, in the writings of such natural health luminaries as Bernard Jensen and Paavo Airola.
One of the most important benefits of skin brushing is the stimulation of increased lymph flow, a vital part of whole body cleanse.
The lymphatic system has important functions, among which are to carry toxins away from the cells, and to fight infection. Stagnancy in the lymphatic system can increase the likelihood of malignancies.
Efficient lymphatic circulation is vital for whole body cleanse. The lymph system transports white blood cells where they're needed to fight infection. It also plays a part in cell nourishment, cleansing toxins, and healing wounds.
Lymph flow needs to be stimulated by body movement. Why? Unlike the blood, which is pumped by the heart, there is no pump for the lymphatic system. Skin brushing stimulates healthy lymph flow.

Using two natural bristle body brushes, you can do twice as much in half the time. It feels like a mini spa treatment!
NOTE: When using two brushes, remove the handles for better maneuverability. This will also enable you to use more pressure as your skin becomes healthier, stronger and more used to the brushing.
With one brush in each hand, use graceful rotating motions toward the center of your body, starting with arms and legs, and then torso.
IMPORTANT: Be gentle if you are not used to skin brushing and/or have delicate skin. You might want to start with a hemp or sisal mitt before graduating to brushes.
It is good to be very gentle around breasts (for a woman) and other delicate areas, or eliminate them entirely from skin brushing. However, because breast health is very dependent on healthy lymph flow, many individuals may benefit by including the area of the breasts.
Also, body brushes are not meant for use on facial skin. There are special, softer facial skin brushes made for the face.

You DID remember last night to put apple and cheese, egg salad, chicken, nuts or other healthy food into a handy container, right?
High quality protein from eggs, dairy, nuts or meat gives you sustained energy and blood sugar stability needed for a rewarding day.
Most, though not all, people tend to be too acidic. To encourage better acid-alkaline balance, complement the protein foods with raw fruits and vegetables.
