Meditation Can Help You Feel Happier
'Why,' you may ask, 'are we talking about meditation? I thought we were talking about why detox methods help depression?'
Here's the reason...
Because meditation IS a detox method...for the mind!
Along with physical means of detoxification, everyone can benefit from taking time to be alone and quiet the mind. This is something that was (still is) invaluable in my own physical and emotional healing!
Often, I spent my meditation time out in nature, which magnified the calm contemplation and helped me let go of thinking. Have you ever stopped to LOOK AT WHAT YOUR MIND IS DOING? Try that - it just might make you dizzy how busy your mind is.
Have you ever thought of the idea that neurotic thoughts can be regarded as a form of toxicity? Going further, we absorb so much from our environment (the bad news on the internet and car radio, other peoples' worries and disharmony) and it all gets re-run subconsciously and surfaces as tension, anxiety and depression.
Do consider taking even ten minutes a day to calm your mind. Over time, done consistently, it will change your life in wonderful ways!
